Chris Freimond
Chris Freimond is a former General Manager and Vice President of Hill & Knowlton’s operations in British Columbia, and still works on projects for H&K as an associate consultant. Freimond has been active in PR in B.C. for the past 12 years including seven years as a Senior Counsellor at James Hoggan and Associates in Vancouver. Before moving to Canada in 1995 he was a journalist in South Africa for 20 years covering business and politics for daily and weekly publications.
As a corporate communications consultant Freimond has provided counsel to CEOs and other senior executives in a wide range of industries including forest products, high tech, biotech, alternative energy, mining and exploration and financial services. His not-for-profit clients have included the Canadian Red Cross Lower Mainland Region, and he has provided pro bono communications support to Arts Umbrella and the Centre for Integrated Healing.
He specializes in helping organizations integrate strategic objectives with communications programs to ensure clear and consistent messaging targeted at specific audience groups. Freimond has an MBA in Public Relations and Communications Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C.
